Product Pieces ran discovery for a US startup building a real-estate renovation platform. We turned the idea into early wireframes, a build plan and credible build costs, so the founders could see the shape and the price before committing to build. Delivered by our founder, a Toptal Top 3% product manager.
The brief.
A US startup had an idea for a platform to support real-estate renovation activities — but no defined product behind it. The ask was a discovery engagement: get to early wireframes, a build plan, and build costs that would shape what the product was and what it would take to make it real.
The challenge.
Early ideas are cheap; building the wrong one is expensive. The founders needed to know what they were building, what it would cost, and what it looked like, before raising against it or pointing engineering money at it. Discovery had to turn enthusiasm into something concrete enough to decide on.
What we delivered.
Structured discovery: the core user flows, early wireframes to make the product tangible, a build plan, and build costs grounded in real scope rather than a guess. Enough to align the founders, brief a build partner, and make the go/no-go call with eyes open.
The result.
The startup moved from a concept to a costed, buildable plan with wireframes in hand. The shape, the scope and the price, ready to take to investors or straight into build.
